Cathedral of St. Lawrence in Trogir is one of the most important monuments of religious architecture in Croatia. Built on the foundations of an earlier church, it was built mainly between the 12th and 15th centuries, combining Romanesque and Gothic styles. It is famous primarily for the Radovanova portal, carved in 1240, which is a masterpiece of medieval sculpture. The portal is decorated with biblical scenes, figures of saints and symbolic animals.
